Actiance Expands Management Team to Address Accelerating Growth
Appoints Sarah Carter as General Manager to Lead Rapidly Expanding Social Business Group and Carol Alexander as VP of Marketing to manage positioning during a period of intense growth

Sarah Carter has been promoted to General Manager of Social Business and Carol Alexander, who joins Actiance from CA Technologies, has replaced Sarah as VP of Marketing. Actiance has also expanded its sales team with the appointment of several new positions. David Oates has been promoted to VP International responsible for all sales outside the Americas and Mark Veitch, based out of Melbourne, Australia, joins Actiance as VP APAC Sales from IBM – Tivoli Software Group. Evan White joins as Senior Director of Worldwide Sales Operations and comes to Actiance with a wealth of experience from Netsuite, ShoreTel, Fortinet and NetScreen. Evan will help drive the company’s growth through a laser focus on efficiency, sales process improvement, and sales automation so that we are prepared to exceed the growth curve to meet the demand for our products.
The market for social business solutions is fueling the company’s expansion. Forrester expects that Enterprise Social Software products will grow at an annual compound rate of 61 percent over the next five years, with the market exceeding $6.4 billion by 2016. To accommodate this growth, Sarah Carter will lead Actiance’s Social Business group made up of an experienced team of social practitioners, ex-regulators and technical experts whose mission is to enable enterprises to implement their social strategy fast and effectively without risking being out of compliance. Sarah will drive the ongoing expansion of the group, continuing to build close relationships with regulators worldwide and deliver innovative services that enable Actiance’s clients to achieve success through social business.
As VP Marketing for Actiance, Carol is responsible for both marketing and demand generation, as well as thought leadership programs. With over 20 years of enterprise marketing experience in the high-tech industry, Carol draws on her background of success as VP Marketing for Check Point Software Technologies, Arcot Systems and others in driving worldwide marketing programs in high-growth companies.
