Marrs’ presentation, “Secure and Easy Access to Data from a Remote Device,” will address the ‘five rights’ of remote access by informing organizations on how they can access the right data, at the right time, deliver it to the right person or machine, in the right format, for the right application. The session will explore and evaluate the various technologies and techniques used for remote access.

Marrs’ session is a part of the “Utilize all of the Data from Wireless and Smart Instrumentation” presentation in the Wireless Technology and Applications track. The session will take place on Wednesday, October 19 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

• Robert Robinson joins as Vice President of Worldwide Sales, where he is tasked with leading the global strategy and execution of Lantronix’ worldwide sales, distribution and channel efforts.  Robinson brings more than 20 years experience to Lantronix, having previously served as Vice President of Enterprise Sales and Marketing for GlobalTRACK, a wireless M2M provider.  Prior to that, he has held Vice President of sales and general management positions with Crossbow Technology (now a division of Moog), D-Link, Arrow Electronics and Ingram Micro. He holds a B.S. in business and management from Pepperdine University.

• Mak Manesh joins as Vice President of Product Management, bringing over 20 years product management and development experience to Lantronix.  Manesh most recently served as Director of Networking Division for Newport Electronics, a leader in high-precision test, measurement, process control and automation instrumentation.  He also spent more than seven years at Lantronix as Product Manager, and has held product management and marketing roles with Compunet Solutions. He is tasked with leading the product management team on defining and driving Lantronix’ global product strategy and executing on a long-term product roadmap.  He received an M.S. and B.S. in electrical engineering from California State University, Los Angeles.

• Tom Buckley returns to Lantronix as Senior Director of U.S. Sales after a brief period as Director of Sales for Symmetry Electronics, a design-oriented, franchise-authorized distributor of electronic components. Buckley previously served as Director of Sales for Lantronix for more than eight years, specializing in OEM (embedded) sales. In addition to being Lantronix’ top salesperson in 2010, he brings more than 25 years of technical, sales and marketing experience to Lantronix.  He received a B.S. in biology from Northeastern University.

Whitaker returns to Lantronix after serving briefly as Vice President, Corporate Controller at Mindspeed Technologies (NASDAQ:MSPD), a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions for network infrastructure applications. Prior to Mindspeed, Whitaker served as Vice President of Finance and Accounting for Lantronix from August 2005 to January 2011, where he was responsible for managing all worldwide finance and accounting functions.  Prior to Lantronix, Whitaker held vice president and director level finance and accounting positions with two publicly-traded companies, as well as having served as an Audit Manager during his six years at Ernst & Young LLP.

Whitaker earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from California State University Fullerton and a master’s degree, also in accountancy, from University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business.

Prior to joining the company, Busch (40) served in senior leadership positions at Mindspeed Technologies (NASDAQ: MSPD), a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions for network infrastructure applications. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and general manager for the company’s high performance analog division. Under Busch’s leadership, the division launched 40 products during his tenure that yielded substantially increased revenues and expanded demand for the company’s products across broad markets including carrier, enterprise data center, surveillance and professional video.

Since 1990, Busch has worked in the networking communications industry. His experience includes business development roles at Analog Devices (ADI) as well as roles in engineering, sales, marketing and general management at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Intel (INTC), and two start-ups.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering and a bachelor’s degree in biological science from the University of California at Irvine. In 1998, Busch completed an MBA from Santa Clara University.
