Santa Ana, Calif. – The Triple Broadband Antenna Family from Powerwave Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:PWAV) has won the Telecommunications Category of the 2011 TechAmerica Orange County High-Tech Innovation Awards.
The premier business event, held June 9, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine, California, celebrated excellence and achievement in Orange County’s technology industry. TechAmerica annually honors local companies, individuals and products that drive innovation. Powerwave’s antenna products bested several other solutions in telecommunications category. Company CEO Ronald J. Buschur was also a finalist in the category of Outstanding CEO.
As wireless carriers race to roll out 4G networks to meet consumer demand, they must upgrade their existing cell sites.
