Quickoffice® Continues Aggressive Cross-Platform Growth and Product Development in Q2 2010
Launches first custom-built Office suite for the iPad and unveils its robust Android app
Wednesday, June 30th, 2010Dallas, TX – Quickoffice, Inc., the global leader in mobile office productivity solutions, completed two successful product launches during the second quarter of 2010, bolstering the company’s growth and momentum. Building on an existing base of both Android and Apple users, the company released its Quickoffice Connect™ Mobile Suite for iPad as well as Android devices running the Éclair 2.0/2.1, Cupcake and Donut 1.6 operating systems. Both apps deliver an enhanced user experience with differentiated features to each operating system.
Optimized for the iPad’s larger screen, Quickoffice developed a series of unique user interface enhancements for its Office app, called SmartTouch™. Combining a compelling design approach with a robust office experience, Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite for iPad quickly climbed the iTunes App Store rankings to be the #1 Paid Business App and #1 overall Paid App for iPad within a week. With its Android release, Quickoffice has dramatically increased mobile productivity by providing the first and only integrated Office suite with access to remote cloud storage providers, including Box.net, Dropbox, MobileMe and Google Docs. The app also comes bundled with enhanced file management capabilities and robust editing of Microsoft Office files.
In addition, Quickoffice remained the only embedded software application to be named to VisionMobile’s 100 Million Club. Vision Mobile also reported that Quickoffice is the most widely distributed embedded mobile application worldwide. This achievement reflects Quickoffice’s successful OEM relationships across both Android and Symbian platforms, where it ships pre-installed on select devices worldwide. During Q2 alone, Quickoffice increased its presence among the latest popular Android devices shipping from carriers, including the HTC EVO 4G, HTC Desire, HTC DROID Incredible, Motorola Milestone, Motorola Backflip, Motorola Flipout, Dell Aero, LG Ally and MyTouch 3G. The company continued its heritage on Symbian, shipping on the E73, C6, E5 and N8 devices this past quarter. Quickoffice also continued its momentum across tablets, coming pre-installed on the Dell Mini 5.
