Dallas, TX – Quickoffice, Inc., the global leader in mobile office productivity solutions, today announced updates to its Android smartphone and tablet applications, delivering increased connectivity through new cloud storage partners and social publishing capabilities. Using the current version of Android software, Quickoffice now provides a crisper, more integrated user interface, along with enhanced viewing and editing features for a robust, yet streamlined user experience specifically designed for mobile devices.

In addition to delivering richer viewing of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, Quickoffice Pro and Quickoffice Pro HD offer users a desktop-like editing experience on their mobile devices. New features include the ability to create bulleted and numbered lists, make indentations, hide and unhide rows, merge cells, wrap text and quick scroll. Quickoffice’s proprietary File Manager lets users create ZIP archives as well as select multiple documents and sharing services at once, with the popular ‘drag and drop’ feature, enabling easier file management.

Users can enjoy increased document collaboration via the cloud with the addition of Evernote and Catch to Quickoffice’s list of supported cloud storage partners, which includes Box.net, Dropbox, Google Docs, MobileMe, SugarSync and Huddle. Social sharing and publishing integration is now also available to consumers and enterprises alike, as Quickoffice connects with popular social networks, such as LinkedIn, Yammer, Facebook, Twitter, Scribd, Slideshare and Dosctoc.

Quickoffice Pro and Quickoffice Pro HD offer three powerful editors in one, including:

  • Quickword – font support, open Office 2010, create numbered and bulleted lists, superscript / subscript, updated UI controls
  • Quicksheet – open, edit and save Office 2010, wrap text, hide columns and rows, updated UI controls
  • Quickpoint – font support, open Office 2010, improve text rendering and layout, set text alignment, updated UI controls

Pre-launched as a demo during CTIA Fall 2011 Enterprise and Applications, Quickoffice Android 5.0 has already been well received by members of the press and media. I have spent many, many HOURS trying to get a tutorial emailed to me, because I wrote something using my Android phone, but have been unable to figure out how to transfer it to my computer. (I don't have active sync so it would have to be sent via email, I think.)
