Solarflare’s Latest Network Performance Test Report Affirms Fujitsu’s Ultra-Low Latency Off-the-Shelf Speed for XG2600 10GbE Switch
Commercially Available Switch and Adapter Testing Records Mean Latency of 427 Nanoseconds
Wednesday, August 10th, 2011FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif. - Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. (FFNA), a leading provider of IT-based business solutions, including advanced technology products, biometric security, and digital media solutions, and Solarflare, the company pioneering 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) solutions, today announced the availability of a recently completed switch to server latency and message rate network performance test report.
The test report affirms Fujitsu’s well established reputation for ultra-low latency performance, as well as the benefits gained when paired with Solarflare’s OpenOnload application acceleration middleware and the Solarflare® SFN5122F server adapter. When combined with the Fujitsu XG2600 10GbE Switch, it yielded 4.5 microsecond mean latency over 10GbE in a TCP latency test with 64 byte packet size, typical of market data applications. The Fujitsu switch is one of the lowest latency switches on the market, demonstrating mean latency in this test of 427 nanoseconds. Solarflare’s server adapters and middleware facilitated discernable speed enhancements to the already fast Fujitsu switch, delivering tangible, measurable and reliable speed, which is a requirement for high-performance applications.
